The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Farm Attendant - Aquaculture Specialist at Huon Aquaculture Company Pty Ltd. As a key member of our Hideaway Bay zone, you will be responsible for assisting with and supporting our feed trials and harvest team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with net, pen, and mooring set-up, maintenance, and equipment installation
  • Support feed trials, feeding fish, and maintaining feeding equipment
  • Conduct fish health checks and environmental monitoring
  • Monitor predator activity and assist in other areas of the zone as required
  • Participate in zone management and contribute to the success of our aquaculture operations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A coxswain's license and valid driver's license
  • An eye for detail and ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a small team
  • Experience in aquaculture, marine farming, or working on the water (desirable but not essential)

Requirements

  • A copy of your driver's license must be submitted upon application
  • Ability to work safely and uphold Huon's Values
  • Strong working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of work health and safety regulations (preferred)
