Teaching and Learning Manager

The Curriculum Development Lead will play a key role in advancing the Learning & Skills Department at HMP Bronzefield, ensuring that challenging Service Delivery Targets are met each year. This role is critical to the success of our education program and requires an experienced educator who can lead, train, and guide curriculum tutors and peer workers towards outstanding performance.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and review educational content: Create and refine syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, marking policies, assessments, and teaching strategies within the department.
- Manage course delivery: Oversee the day-to-day operation of courses, ensuring effective deployment of staff and physical resources.
- Assess learner progress: Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted support.
- Stay informed about industry developments: Stay up-to-date with subject area advancements, teaching practices, and methodologies, providing training to staff.
- Deliver teaching sessions: Teach English and maths to Level 2, including embedded English and maths, and cover lessons as required.
We are seeking an experienced educator who possesses a strong background in teaching, learning, and curriculum development. The ideal candidate will have a full teaching qualification, including QTLS, and a recognised Level 4 qualification or higher in basic/functional skills English or maths.
