As a key member of our Pharmacy Department, you will provide administrative support to our Senior Management Team and ensure the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Management Team and Pharmacy Service
- Support the Pharmacy team to provide an efficient and effective service
- Maintain and administer leave and rostering systems
- Support the dispensary with telephone systems, reception areas, and shop stock
- Liaise with estates regarding necessary maintenance and repairs of the Pharmacy Department
- Provide and receive complex or sensitive information
- Communicate complicated information to staff from other departments and external contracts
- Deal with incoming post and monitor and order consumables
- Raise pharmacy consumable orders to finance systems for approval
- Pass orders to procurement for replenishing shop stock
- Ensure shop items have been received and liaise with staff to resolve any issues
- Maintain up-to-date prices for on-the-till system for shop stock
- Ensure subscriptions to pharmacy resources are up-to-date and passwords maintained for shared systems
- Work within tight deadlines

Requirements- GCSE English and maths C or above (or equivalent)
- Customer Care experience
- Knowledge and experience of various elements of Microsoft Office to process correspondence, documents, spreadsheets, and presentation material to a high standard
- Ability to deal confidently and directly with all members of healthcare teams and members of the public
- Ability to prioritize own workload
- Ability to work unsupervised within departmental guidelines/SOPs
- Good organizational skills/minute-taking skills/accurate numerical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain concentration for long periods
