Job Overview

Morgan Law is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Deputy Chief People Officer to lead the transformation and improvement of our Trust.

The successful candidate will have significant senior HR leadership experience in a large, complex NHS Trust, with a proven track record of delivering transformational change and improvement in people and culture.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of the People Strategy and support plans, ensuring these are directly linked to the Trust's strategic objectives.
  • Manage and develop the HR senior leadership team and deputise for the Chief People Officer.
  • Develop and implement the strategic workforce plan aligned to Trust demand, capacity, and financial plans, working in partnership with the care groups' leadership teams and People and Culture Business Partners.
  • Support the design and implementation of organisational development initiatives, working closely with Executive Directors and operational leadership teams to deliver improvements in quality, culture, and patient care and experience.
  • Design, develop, and implement, in conjunction with union partners, a 'Just Culture' approach for all People and Culture policies and procedures.
  • Lead on designated programmes of work across the Integrated Care System and deliver the agreed Workforce workplan for the Integrated Care Partnership.
  • Chair the Staff Committee and take a lead role in the management of union partnership working.

  • A strong background in HR leadership, with experience of delivering transformational change and improvement in people and culture.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to lead, inspire, and develop professional HR staff, promote values and behaviours, and champion equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £100,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Morgan Law offers a range of benefits, including access to training and development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a comprehensive pension scheme.
