Economic Development Expert

We seek a highly experienced Senior Consultant to join our team, focusing on local/sub-national economic development and innovation.

About the Job:

This role entails conducting socio-economic research, preparing business cases in accordance with HM Treasury's Green Book, completing economic impact assessments, designing and delivering evaluations, and supporting strategy development and action planning.

Senior Consultants significantly contribute to project outcomes, including reports and presentations. They manage smaller projects and assist in deputy managing larger or more complex ones.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting socio-economic research
  • Preparing HM Treasury-compliant business cases
  • Completing economic impact assessments
  • Designing and delivering evaluations
  • Supporting strategy development and action planning
Requirements:
  • Education: First degree in a relevant subject (minimum 2:1), including some quantitative elements
  • Experience: Substantial experience in a comparable role
  • Knowledge: UK public policy, HM Treasury's Green Book, evaluation methods
  • Skills: Excellent communication, digital skills (Microsoft Teams, PowerBI)
