Job Title: Vice Principal - Pastoral

About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Vice Principal to join our Senior Leadership Team at The Lowry Academy. As a strategic leader, you will play a key role in shaping the school's vision and driving improvement in student behaviour and attitudes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on students' behaviour, attitudes, and safeguarding, working closely with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student behaviour and attendance, including the development of behaviour policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour and attendance initiatives, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Lead on the development and implementation of the school's Behaviour Policy, ensuring it is consistent with the school's values and ethos.
  • Represent the school at Behaviour and Attendance Partnership meetings, working collaboratively with other schools and agencies to improve student behaviour and attendance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and carers, working to improve attendance and behaviour.
  • Lead on the development and implementation of staff professional development and INSET related to students' behaviour and attitudes.
  • Be responsible for a delegated budget in relation to students' behaviour and attitudes.
