Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice Principal to join our team at United Learning. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students and contributing to the overall success of our academy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership to the academy's pastoral care team, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education and support.
  • Behaviour and Attitudes: Develop and implement strategies to improve student behaviour and attitudes, working closely with teachers, support staff, and parents.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure that the academy's safeguarding policies and procedures are implemented effectively, protecting students from harm and promoting their wellbeing.
  • Staff Development: Lead staff professional development and INSET related to students' behaviour and attitudes, ensuring that all staff are equipped to support students effectively.
  • Community Engagement: Develop partnerships with parents and the local community, promoting the academy's values and ethos.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Prepare reports for the Principal, Senior Leadership Team, and Governors on areas of leadership, ensuring that the academy's progress is monitored and evaluated effectively.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience of leading teams and contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Behaviour and Attitudes: Expertise in improving student behaviour and attitudes, with a strong understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
  • Safeguarding: Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, with experience of implementing them effectively.
  • Staff Development: Ability to lead staff professional development and INSET, with a focus on improving student behaviour and attitudes.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and parents.
