Teaching SEN Students in Staffordshire

As an SEN Teacher with Qualiteach Ltd, you will work closely with students who require additional support to reach their full potential. This rewarding role involves developing and delivering tailored lesson plans, assessing students' progress, and collaborating with teaching assistants, parents, and external specialists to create effective access plans.

About the Role:

You will work closely with students who have a range of special educational needs, adapting your teaching methods to suit individual requirements. This may involve using various teaching strategies and resources, as well as staying informed about the latest research and best practices in the field of SEN.

  • Supporting SEN Students: Adapt your teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN, using various teaching strategies and resources.
  • Assessing Progress: Regularly assess students' strengths and areas for development, identifying opportunities to adapt your teaching methods.
  • Collaborative Approach: Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external specialists to create and implement access plans for students with SEN, promoting a cohesive approach to support.
  • Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and interventions in the field of SEN, applying this knowledge to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with parents, carers, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and informed approach to supporting students with SEN.

Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
  2. Specialisation or additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  3. Experience working with students who have a range of SEN, adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs.
  4. Strong knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
  5. A willingness and enthusiasm for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
