About This Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Education Support Worker to join our team in a primary school in Gloucester. As a Specialist Learning Support Assistant, you will be working 5 afternoons per week to support an individual pupil in Key Stage 2 with an EHCP.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to develop strategies to support the pupil's learning
  • Use your skills and experience to manage challenging behaviour and promote positive relationships
  • Support the pupil's self-regulation outside of the classroom
  • Maintain accurate records of the pupil's progress and provide regular feedback

Requirements

  • A high level of resilience and patience is required
  • Previous experience working with pupils with EHCPs is highly desirable
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is £23,000 - £25,000 depending on experience.
