Expert Employment is a leading start-up in the field of grid-scale power flow control, revolutionizing the industry with innovative hardware-software solutions.

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our London team and contribute to the development of game-changing green technology.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in power electronics development and design, with a proven track record of developing and testing power electronics circuits.

This role requires a strong focus on hardware development, including initiating analyses, design reviews, simulations, technical discussions, verification- and validation processes.

A key aspect of the job will be supporting project and test activities, ensuring that they are completed within schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing power electronics hardware and circuitry for power converters and their applications
  • Implementing, testing, verifying, and troubleshooting power electronics systems (power converters, PWM systems), thermal power electronics design, EMC/EMI mitigation, PCB design and layout optimization, interfacing with distribution transformers, filter design, and thermomechanical systems
  • Performing hands-on embedded system hardware design validation and implementation, respecting safety, quality, and international standards
Requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics and/or Power Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven electronics design experience, preferably power converters experience (7+ years)
  • Experience in electronics circuits design and simulation, including HiL and SiL simulations

Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per year, depending on experience
