Plymouth Manufacturing Opportunity

Experienced electro-mechanical engineers are required to join our team at TQR's Plymouth site. As part of the manufacturing engineering team, you will be responsible for carrying out first-line fault diagnosis and providing technical support to assembly teams.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the team to ensure manufacturing targets are met through equipment modification and optimization. You will have the opportunity to expand your skills and experience in a high-volume, automated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend to electro-mechanical faults, diagnosing and repairing issues using methodical problem-solving approaches.
  • Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and refurbish offline machinery as required.
  • Ensure manufacturing equipment is set up correctly and produces product according to established quality control specifications.
  • Monitor line performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas of waste.
  • Support the installation and validation of new equipment and technology.
Essential Qualifications and Attributes:
  • Proven experience in electrical or mechanical engineering from a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Certified qualifications such as City & Guilds, HND, HNC, BTEC, or time-served apprenticeship.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills are essential.
  • IT literacy is required.
  • A process-driven approach is necessary for this role.
Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
