Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team in Plymouth. The successful candidate will assist with general maintenance around the port, working within a small team covering both our Plymouth and Teignmouth ports.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with experience of general maintenance in an industrial environment. You should have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical works, as well as experience with door repairs, bathroom maintenance, and painting.

The role involves a mix of planned and reactive maintenance to service our customers, with a focus on ensuring high levels of health and safety awareness. You will be required to carry out inspection, fault diagnostic, maintenance, and installation works on a wide range of assets across both ports.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including mechanical and electrical work
  • Assist with door repairs, bathroom maintenance, and painting
  • Carry out inspections and fault diagnostics to identify issues
  • Implement maintenance and installation works to resolve issues
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • A full driving licence
  • Experience of maintenance tasks in a similar industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
  • A flexible approach
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and over/near water
