Job Summary

Contract Personnel Limited is seeking a highly skilled Shift Supervisor to join our team in a key role that requires strong leadership and technical expertise. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our clients' sites, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures, and managing a team of personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Operations Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of site safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Team Management: Manage and lead a team of personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
  • Plant Maintenance: Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Shift Planning: Plan and coordinate shifts to ensure adequate staffing and resource allocation.
Requirements
  • Engineering Background: Hold an Engineering NVQ Level 3 in an Electrical discipline or similar.
  • Technical Knowledge: Possess knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems, including the ability to read system schematics.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven supervisory experience, with a track record of leading teams and achieving results.
Desirable Qualifications
  • IOSH Managing Safely: Hold a valid IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • Safe Isolation and Electrical Safety: Possess knowledge of safe isolation and electrical safety procedures.
  • WAH or Confined Space Management: Hold a valid WAH or Confined Space Management certification.
  • First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid: Hold a valid First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid certification.
  • Certified to Operate Plant Machinery: Hold a valid certification to operate plant machinery, including IPAF and MEWP.
Working Arrangements
  • Shift Pattern: The ideal candidate will be flexible to work overtime and additional shifts if required, with a typical shift pattern of 3-4 shifts per week, including day and night shifts.
