Works Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Works Manager to join our team at Wright Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Quarry and Aggregates site in Buxton.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, including HSE guidelines.
  • Lead and manage a team to achieve high-quality production standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve site efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage labor resources to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Implement and maintain 5S standards on site.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manage stock control to ensure smooth operations.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Requirements:
  • IOSH (Managing Safely) certification.
  • NEBOSH (General Certificate) certification.
  • Proven experience in managing people and teams.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £48,000 to £54,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional company benefits.
