About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Respiratory Health Nurse Specialist to join our team in West Hertfordshire. As a key member of our multidisciplinary respiratory team, you will provide expert specialist care to patients with COPD, asthma, and bronchiectasis, working 7 days a week.

Our service is a large community integrated respiratory specialist service, working closely with our integrated partners, West Herts Hospitals Trust. We offer a comprehensive induction and teaching programme for all new starters, and will support further education, attending courses/conferences and for some, working towards advanced practitioner as well as becoming an independent prescriber.

Main Duties
  • Deliver community respiratory service in West Hertfordshire 7 days a week, providing expert specialist care to patients with COPD, asthma, and bronchiectasis.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary respiratory team to provide hospital at home (admission avoidance and virtual hospital discharge scheme), home oxygen assessment & review service, and follow up clinics and home visits.
Person Specification
  • Nursing/Paramedic/Physio Degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Current NMC/HCPC registration.
  • Teaching/Mentorship qualification or equivalent experience.
