Chief of Staff to the CEO

The Office for Students is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Staff to provide strategic support to the CEO and Chair. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the CEO's agenda, managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and providing policy and regulatory advice.
About the Role:
- Drive the CEO's agenda across the OfS and beyond, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government departments, universities, and other key partners.
- Provide high-quality, well-reasoned advice and briefings to the CEO and Chair on a range of issues, including policy, regulation, and strategic initiatives.
- Optimise the time and efforts of the CEO and Chair, ensuring effective prioritisation and resource allocation.
- Lead and manage the CEO's office, providing outstanding administrative and strategic support.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a highly effective operational leader in a fast-moving and complex working environment.
- Ability to thrive in a high-throughput environment, delivering high-quality work on time and at pace.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and articulate ideas fluently and confidently.
- High levels of credibility within and beyond the Office for Students.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to bring order to complex projects and initiatives.
