About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced mental health clinician to join our CAMHS Crisis and Home Treatment Teams as a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children, young people, and families, and to be part of a dynamic and evolving service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with urgent mental health needs in the community, making complex decisions and prioritizing patient choice.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary CAHTT teams to assess and treat complex patients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, and discharge patients in a timely and effective manner.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff, and contribute to the development of the service.

Requirements

  • Registered Healthcare Professional with a degree-level qualification.
  • Experience of working with children and young people experiencing mental illness and mental distress.
  • Clinical experience of caring for children and young people with neurodiverse conditions and mental ill health.
  • Experience of working across professional boundaries and leading service development.
  • Undertaking an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent.
