Job Description

This Cyber Security Specialist Degree Apprenticeship involves working collaboratively alongside experienced engineers, combining periods of time at university with real projects to enhance your skills. You'll specialise in Cyber Security, learning skills and gaining knowledge associated with security controls, threat prevention, and data protection. Following completion of the formal apprenticeship, you'll have the opportunity to apply for Professional Registration at Incorporated Engineering (IEng) level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain security controls to protect organisational systems and data assets from threats and hazards.
  • Evaluate security technologies and practices to ensure they operate in accordance with policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to enhance your skills and knowledge in Cyber Security.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need 5 GCSEs A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent), including Mathematics, English, and Science. You should also have 96 UCAS Tariff Points (240 points old tariff), including two STEM-based subjects. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this position.
