We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Scientist to join our team at The Christie NHS FT. As a Practice Educator - Principal Clinical Scientist, you will be responsible for providing specialist scientific training and assessment of diagnostic radiology and radiation protection equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver training activities, training plans, and assessments for clinical technologist and clinical scientist trainees.
- Manage the delivery of effective, efficient, and high-quality training programmes, including the review and standardisation of assessment methods.
- Lead the optimisation of the Groups training framework to accelerate training delivery and improve quality and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with universities and other training providers to develop academic programmes and liaise with clinical services to ensure clinical training matters are addressed.
- Identify areas for project development and provide support and supervision to BSc and MSc projects.
- Keep up-to-date with developments in diagnostic radiology physics and radiation protection and undertake research and service development work to improve the CMPE service and optimise radiological techniques.
- State registration as a Clinical Scientist and recognition as a Medical Physics Expert, Radiation Protection Adviser, and Laser Protection Adviser.
- Ability to communicate complex scientific knowledge effectively and modify communication to address individuals' needs and preferences.
- Experience in training and education, with a focus on clinical technologist and clinical scientist training.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
