Job Description

This role involves developing new business opportunities for Freight Personnel, a well-established freight forwarder based in Redditch, Worcestershire. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding our client base through cold calling and face-to-face visits with potential customers.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as a Business Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to take their career to the next level and become part of a rapidly expanding company.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business-to-business sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. They will also be confident in their ability to negotiate with suppliers and secure new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities through cold calling and face-to-face visits
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive rates
  • Manage existing client relationships to maximise business potential
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless delivery of services

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business-to-business sales
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Confident and self-motivated individual

Packages and Benefits:

  • Circa £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
  • Bonus scheme with OTE £60,000
  • Contributory pension scheme
