Job Summary:

As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to children with Special Educational Needs at one of our Special Schools in Sheffield. With a focus on individual and group support, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with special educational needs, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to supporting the education and well-being of SEN students.

  • Role Responsibilities: Provide individual and group support to students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Communication Skills: Facilitate communication with students who may have language, communication, or sensory needs.
Requirements:
  1. Qualifications: A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  2. Experience: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  3. Understanding of SEN: A good understanding of various special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning difficulties, sensory impairments, and physical disabilities.
