Teaching Assistant Role

Northampton Business Directory is seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team, working with pupils aged 4-18 who have a wide range of learning difficulties.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with school-aged children and individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity offering excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.

About the Position
  • Salary: £90 - £100 per day
  • Location: Northampton area
  • Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting teachers in the classroom, planning and delivering engaging lessons, and providing individual support to pupils as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Provide individual support to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Assist with behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
  • Use ICT systems and equipment to enhance pupil learning
