Job Description

Job Title: Counsellor on Placement

Location: Nationwide (various locations)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Counsellor to join our team as a Counsellor on Placement. The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above), or be studying towards one of these professions at the following levels:

  • Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above). If you are in your first year you will have completed a full academic year Certificate Course in Counselling or the equivalent of 9 - 12 months.
  • Degree, MSc or MA in Counselling, Counselling Psychology or Psychotherapy - if you are in your first year you will have relevant experience of direct work with children.

The Counsellor on Placement will work in partnership with schools nationwide, providing emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing one-to-one counselling sessions with up to 3 children per week.
  • Working closely with teachers and other school staff to ensure seamless integration of our services.
  • Participating in regular supervision and training workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
