About the Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our team at Toonbankrecords. As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of staff to provide high-quality care and support services to individuals with learning disabilities.
- Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure that all regulatory and legislative requirements are met.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of the people we support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that individuals receive person-centered support that meets their unique needs and preferences.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop plans to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of individuals and staff.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care and support services and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Recent experience of leading shifts and motivating colleagues.
- Knowledge of legislation and guidance relating to adults with learning disabilities, Safeguarding, Health and Safety, and Positive Behavioural Support management and techniques.
- Hold a Level 2 diploma in Adult Social Care and be willing to undertake the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care within an agreed timescale.
- Ability to lead and manage people and be a role model in all aspects of people leadership, especially performance.
