Epilepsy Specialist Nurse Coordinator

At Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, we are seeking an experienced paediatric epilepsy specialist nurse to coordinate the delivery of patient care and drive results in line with the role's objectives and the wider Epilepsy Specialist Nurse Pilot. The position is supported by Buckinghamshire Oxford and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (BOB ICB) on behalf of NHS England.
This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and young people with epilepsy from areas of higher deprivation or with additional needs such as medical complexity, learning disability, and autism, or transitioning to adult care. You will work closely with the Band 8 Lead Epilepsy Specialist Nurse who will provide clinical leadership and support across the nursing team to ensure safe and effective care.
The successful candidate will possess advanced clinical assessment skills, be able to work autonomously and within a team, and have experience in managing epilepsy patients in hospital/community settings. They will also have previous experience in formal/informal teaching of patients & staff, ability to initiate, sustain and evaluate change, skilled written and verbal communication skills, and experience in applying research evidence to clinical practice.
We offer a competitive salary of £**54,000 - £62,548** per annum, depending on experience, plus generous annual leave entitlement and pension scheme, access to NHS discount schemes, and a range of health and wellbeing services to promote a healthy, happy workforce.
