Head of Financial Performance and Analysis

The Prince's Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Financial Performance and Analysis to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading charity and make a real impact on the lives of young people.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Financial Reporting team, planning and executing the group external audit, and preparing the UK consolidated financial statements under UK GAAP and Charities SORP. They will also be responsible for the integrity of the Trial Balances, including regular reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting and analysis, with experience of working in a similar role. They will be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and have excellent communication and presentation skills.

The role will be based at The Prince's Trust's head office in Birmingham, with occasional visits to the office required. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Financial Reporting team
  • Plan and execute the group external audit
  • Prepare the UK consolidated financial statements under UK GAAP and Charities SORP
  • Ensure the integrity of the Trial Balances
  • Set the accounting standards for financial transactions
  • Lead on the month-end close activities
  • Produce high-quality, accurate, and timely management accounts packs and associated reports
  • Oversee the collation of meaningful commentary
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reports for internal stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Strong background in financial reporting and analysis
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
