Job Summary

Buckden Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial professional to join our team as a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial analysis, reporting, and cash flow management for investors and shareholders.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will be an integral part of our finance team and will work closely with the CFO and other senior management team members to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Financial Planning Tools: Own and develop the long-term budget planning tool, and be the focal point for understanding the drivers of business performance and its linkage to the planning model.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee and produce company financial reporting, including monthly board packs and consolidated reporting to investors in line with contractual timelines.
  • Cash Flow Management: Create detailed short and medium-term cash flow forecasting, and be the company expert on investment cash flows within the business and our SPV vehicles.
  • Annual Budget Process: Run the annual budget process, liaising with and influencing the group executive team (including CEO, MD, CFO, CTO, etc).
  • Cost Control and Optimization: Improve cost control by managing cost centre reporting and business partnering, and own the cost budget and monthly spending, seeking to optimize the cost-income ratio.
  • Financial KPIs and Reporting: Develop and implement financial KPIs around the business, including for example in monthly reporting, lead to fund process, etc.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present analysis to internal and external stakeholders, and interact with the senior management team to drive business growth and success.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience, and a qualified accountant with considerable post-qualification experience.
  • Experience: Financial services experience is a must-have, with banking/investment experience being a strong plus.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, ability to create and present financial performance at a board level, ability to work to deadlines/under pressure, accuracy and attention to detail, aptitude for problem-solving, team player, intellectually curious, and a robust, cool, and calm personality.
