Special Needs Support Role
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team at TeachMatch. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with special educational needs and possess strong communication and education skills. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to individuals with special educational needs.
  • Educate clients on various life skills to promote independence and confidence.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure holistic care.
  • Engage in toddler care when necessary and maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Collaborate with individuals with autism to understand their unique needs and preferences.
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records of client interactions and developments.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in special education and support work.

Requirements
  • Experience working with children or individuals with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A background in toddler care or experience in early childhood education.
  • Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and strategies for effective support.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be self-motivated.
  • A compassionate attitude towards helping others.

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
