Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualized support to students, encouraging their participation and confidence in classroom activities.

  1. Supporting Students: Work one-on-one or in small groups to provide individualized support to students with autism, encouraging their participation and confidence in classroom activities.
  2. Implementing IEPs: Assist in following and applying Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies tailored to each student's unique needs.
  3. Adapting Learning Materials: Help make the curriculum accessible by adjusting learning materials, providing clear explanations, and offering additional guidance to support students' understanding and engagement.
  4. Building Positive Relationships: Establish a warm, supportive rapport with students, fostering a positive environment where they feel encouraged to explore, participate, and grow.
  5. Collaborating with Professionals: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other specialists to monitor student progress and offer insights, helping to refine support strategies.
  6. Ensuring a Safe Environment: Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning space, ensuring that every child feels supported and valued.
