Job Overview
At TeachMatch, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide assistance and support to individuals with special educational needs or autism. Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to individuals, assisting them with daily living activities and personal care.
  • Educate clients on various life skills, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Engage in toddler care when necessary, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Work collaboratively with individuals with autism, understanding their unique needs and preferences.
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records of client interactions and developments.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in special education and support work.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with children or individuals with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and their families.
  • A background in toddler care or experience in early childhood education is beneficial.
  • Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and strategies for effective support is preferred.
  • Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • A compassionate attitude towards helping others and a commitment to promoting their well-being.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
