About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paramedic to join our Tactical Response Unit (TRU) team. As a TRU Paramedic, you will be part of a multi-agency team responding to specific firearms and other incidents, providing high-quality patient care in challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake the full range of core operational duties on response cars and ambulances, working as part of a multi-agency team to deliver specific response capabilities in challenging environments.
  • Work as part of a Joint Response Unit, responding directly to Police-generated calls, and as part of a Medical Response Team, responding in crowded places and at events and incidents.
  • Support the wider Resilience & Specialist Assets Department through roles such as Command Support Vehicle driver, Loggist, and SORT Operative.
Requirements
  • HCPC registered Paramedic with a minimum of two years' experience in emergency ambulance operations.
  • Full manual driving licence, valid in the UK, including vehicle categories C1 and B (not B auto).
  • Practice Educator (PEd) with PEd modules 1 and 2 completed or commitment to work towards completion.
