Job Overview

The East of England Ambulance Service is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the Senior Leadership Role within our Commercial Services Department. This pivotal position will drive the future of training provision, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and progressive training programs.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Develop and implement effective training strategies to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage complex relationships with clinical, co-responding, and business partners across diverse markets.
  • Cultivate strong commercial relationships with industry partners, stakeholders, and national organizations.
  • Navigate the intricate details and broader strategic landscape of training and clinical practice.
  • Deliver innovative leadership to develop cutting-edge training programs for the next generation of healthcare professionals and volunteers.
  • Foster a culture of compassion, learning, and engagement aligned with our Trust Vision and Values.
  • Provide direct leadership to the TrainEEAST Team and contribute to the senior leadership of all Commercial Teams within the Department.
Working for Our Organisation

EEAST employs over 5,000 staff with a further 1,000+ volunteers who between them cover 7,500 square miles and care for a population of more than 6 million.

Our three control rooms in Bedfordshire, Norfolk, and Essex handle more than 1 million 999 calls every year, over 2,500 calls a day.

We manage a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles including double staffed ambulances, rapid response cars, operational commander response vehicles, patient transport, and support service vehicles.

The East of England works alongside 17 Acute Trusts with Accident & Emergency services and a Major Trauma Centre in Cambridge. Access is available to neighbouring MTCs such as those in London.
