Main Duties of the Job

  • Drive the delivery of effective, quality, and safe training provision for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage complex external relationships with clinical, co-responding, and business partners across diverse markets.
  • Cultivate strong commercial relationships with industry partners, stakeholders, and national organizations.
  • Navigate the intricate details and broader strategic landscape of training and clinical practice.
  • Deliver innovative leadership to develop cutting-edge training programs for the next generation of healthcare professionals and volunteers.
  • Foster a culture of compassion, learning, and engagement aligned with our Trust Vision and Values.
  • Provide direct leadership to the TrainEEAST Team and contribute to the senior leadership of all Commercial Teams within the Department.

The East of England Ambulance Service employs over 5,000 staff with a further 1,000+ volunteers who between them cover 7,500 square miles and care for a population of more than 6 million.

We manage a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles, including double-staffed ambulances, rapid response cars, operational commander response vehicles, patient transport, and support service vehicles.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in leading a Training team.
  • Leadership experience.

  • Recognised managerial leadership qualification, or applied demonstrable experience.
  • Level 7 Master's Degree in a business-related subject, or equivalent management and senior management experience in a commercial environment related to education and training.

Desirable Criteria

  • Postgraduate Qualification in marketing/sales/promotion.
  • Recognised quality assurance qualification (ie IQA, EQA) or equivalent experience.
