Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated KS3/4 SEN Teacher to join our team in Chorley, Lancashire. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs.

">About the Role

This temporary position offers the chance to cover a recruitment gap, with potential for a permanent contract if desirable but not essential. As a KS3/4 SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and delivering tailored lessons in Functional Skills English and Maths for students aged 11-16 with diverse learning needs.

Our school provides a supportive and inclusive environment, specializing in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging lessons that meet individual education plans (IEPs) for students with unique learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team to ensure each student receives the right support for both academic and personal growth.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with relevant teaching experience.
  • Experience working with students with SEN, particularly SEMH, ASD, and ADHD.
  • Strong understanding of Functional Skills curriculum in English and Maths.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and safeguarding practices.
