About the Role

FareShare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Public Affairs and Research Officer to join our team. As a key member of our public affairs team, you will play a critical role in driving policy change to increase surplus food redistribution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, media, and academia to advance FareShare's policy objectives.
  • Policy, Research, and Briefings: Develop in-depth policy knowledge and produce well-researched briefings and reports articulating FareShare's policy goals.
  • Events: Support the planning and execution of public affairs events, including parliamentary engagements and industry conferences.
Requirements
  • Deep passion for politics and a drive to create progressive change through political advocacy.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to navigate complex political landscapes.
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to understand and communicate complex topics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
