Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Scheduling Specialist to join our Ophthalmology team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a challenging role, working closely with other team members, medical secretaries, clinicians, and management teams.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage waiting lists, dealing with new referrals, and ensuring patients receive timely service.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Secretaries, Clinicians, and Management Team to provide high-quality care and services.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Trust's access policy and national 18-week RTT pathway.

Person Specification
  • Good standard of education to GCSE level, English & Maths Grade C.
  • NVQ 2 or equivalent experience.
  • Administrative experience, including competent use of Microsoft Word.
  • Awareness of National Patient Access targets and knowledge of Patient Centre systems.
