About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to join our team at Laing O'Rourke. As a key member of our project planning team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination for the planning and delivery of Data Centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Provide leadership for the planning and coordination processes, ensuring that all programmes are compliant with the Project requirements.
  • Business Planning: Implement and maintain the requirements of the Project Business Plan, developing and agreeing a logical sequence of events to ensure the most economical/advantageous construction strategy is adopted.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyse performance and advise the project team of likely impact and recommend improvements, ensuring that the construction strategy and any recommended improvements are communicated.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide leadership, support and training, and contribute to career development, ensuring that the project team has the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver the project successfully.
  • Stakeholder Management: Co-ordinate with stakeholders, partners and supply chain to ensure that all time-related information is communicated effectively.
  • Representation: Represent the project/business with all stakeholders, undertaking additional responsibilities and tasks as required by the project/business.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and feedback process improvement, proactively interacting with other departments to ensure that the project is delivered efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: HNC / Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar sector-related qualification.
  • Membership: CIOB Membership.
  • Experience: Project planning experience on building schemes, developing relationships with client's representatives and contributing to pre-contact planning, work winning, and processes.
  • Skills: Project/programme controls, project management systems and techniques, contract planning, pre-contract planning and work control, P6 and Asta Powerproject Planning Software.
