Maintenance Equipment Specialist

About Avara Foods:
We are a leading food business supplying chicken and turkey to the nation's most popular supermarkets and restaurants.
Our team is committed to delivering great results and we're looking for a skilled Maintenance Equipment Specialist to join us at our hatchery in Quainton, Buckinghamshire.
This role involves maintaining our machinery and associated plant and ancillary equipment, as well as carrying out ongoing improvement projects.
You will work independently in farm buildings and be required to use your own initiative to prioritise your workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Ongoing improvement projects
- Independent work in farm buildings
Requirements:
- Qualified in a relevant engineering trade
- Broad understanding of mechanical processes
- Good understanding of mechanical assemblies
- Useful knowledge of facilities maintenance, including welding and fabrication, plumbing and pipe fitting
- Ability to use own initiative and work independently

Working Hours:
Week 1-3: Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 15:30 (with 75 minutes daily total unpaid break)
Week 4: 4 days, Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 15:30 (with 75 minutes daily total unpaid break per day) plus Saturday, 06:00 to 15:30
Callouts within rota to be agreed with management (currently 1 in 8 weeks), paid at £25 per call out plus hours worked at time and half
