About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Specialist to join our Engineering Team at Avara Foods, a leading food business in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our feed manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and engineering, with experience in working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure optimal production levels.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is operating efficiently
- Respond to breakdowns and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with the operations department to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and identify areas for improvement
- Participate in mechanical and electrical projects to enhance plant efficiency and reduce costs
What We Offer:
In return for your skills and experience, we offer a competitive salary of £39,836.16 - £36,232.56 per annum, plus shift premium, comprehensive training, and opportunities for career development. You will also enjoy a range of benefits, including 5.6 weeks' holiday, pension contribution, life assurance, and various lifestyle benefits.
Working Hours:
You will work on a rotating shift pattern, averaging 3.5 days per week, with an annualized average of 42 hours per week. This will involve working a combination of morning and evening shifts, including weekends.
