About the Role

As a Senior Director of Community Development, you will play a pivotal role in steering The Foxton Centre through its next phase of development. You will work closely with our committed board and dedicated staff team to continue serving individuals on the margins of city life from local community bases.

This leadership position requires a strong operational background from the third sector, with a proven track record of partnerships, change management, and a personal commitment to The Foxton Centre's mission. Your strategic vision will enable you to translate passion into measurable impact and increase our reach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the organisation's business plan and strategy, ensuring sustainability, growth, and success.
  • Provide dynamic leadership, particularly with regards to future development opportunities in the area of homelessness and housing.
  • Foster positive working cultures and galvanise the wider team.

You will have the confidence, credibility, and experience that demonstrate your ability to identify, secure, and implement new opportunities, constantly horizon-scan, and respond to the needs of our communities. With strong commercial acumen, you will be experienced in growing and developing opportunities, diversifying income and fundraising, and developing strategic partnerships.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable senior leadership track record in an organisation of similar scale and complexity.
  • Highly attuned to sector pressures and opportunities.

Estimated salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience), based on national averages for similar positions in the UK. This figure includes considerations for the location, industry standards, and the required skill set.
