About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at a well-maintained retirement home in Burton. The home caters for up to 27 elderly service users living with various age-related illnesses and offers a respite service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all care plans are followed to provide the appropriate level of support to service users.
  • Undertake personal care duties and observation checks to maintain the residents' safety and hygiene.
  • Participate in activities to keep residents engaged and entertained during their stay.
  • Ensure the safe use of moving and handling equipment to assist residents as required.
  • Oversee the health and safety of service users under your care.
  • Undertake basic cleaning duties, adhering to cleaning rotas and safety procedures.

Working Hours:

  • 07:00 to 14:00
  • 14:00 to 21:00
  • 07:00 to 21:00
  • 21:00 to 07:00

Pay Rate:

  • £11.50 per hour for Days
  • £12.00 per hour for Nights

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 months of paid UK work experience in a care home or nursing home setting.
  • Referenceable work history with 2 professional reference contacts.
  • In-date mandatory training certificates.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate.
