The Role

Job Summary
A skilled electrician who will execute planned, preventative, and reactive engineering tasks in a timely and safe manner. Compliance to all legal and local policies & guidance relating to engineering and maintenance is essential. Working proactively as part of an engineering team to ensure maximum machine efficiency (reduce downtime and set-up time) is a key responsibility.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Executing planned, preventative, and reactive engineering tasks in a timely and safe manner.
  2. Ensuring compliance to all legal and local policies & guidance relating to maintenance and machine setting.
  3. Working proactively as part of an engineering team to ensure maximum machine efficiency (reduce downtime and set-up time).
  4. Maintaining good housekeeping standards and a clean as you go policy.
  5. Setting and calibration of machine tooling ready for production in a safe and timely manner.
  6. Being the first point of contact for all machinery break downs on your assigned shift.
  7. Supporting the engineering management in building an engineering team and related process fit for future challenges.
  8. Experience of Electrical fault finding in a manufacturing environment.Other Requirements
    1. Suitable electrical qualifications.
    2. Experience of operating in a commercial/industrial environment.
    Person SpecificationEssential
    1. Time served Electrician with the ability to read Electrical Schematics and Specifications.
    2. Electrical experience gained in an Industrial environment.
    3. Level 3 BTEC or Diploma or equivalent qualifications.
    Desirable
    1. Electrical Panel and circuit design. Control panel wiring.
    2. Advanced troubleshooting including PLC's and VSD's.
    3. HNC in Electrical Engineering.
