About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team at Actemium. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of electrical systems for our clients in the nuclear sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain detailed project plans and deliverable schedules.
  • Identify and mitigate hazards through design, ensuring the safety of our clients' equipment and systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, documentation, and calculations to support the design process.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior engineers and designers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering work packages.
  • Support the production of technical information for tenders and client presentations.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent qualification.
  • Several years' experience working in design engineering, preferably in the nuclear sector.
  • Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office software and CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of design codes, standards, and procedures, as well as relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to lead and manage a small team of engineers and designers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
