Amazon's Retail business is seeking an accomplished Senior Category Manager to drive growth and excellence in ecommerce for Australian customers. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the way customers shop and buy online in Australia.



A successful Senior Category Manager at Amazon complements their investments in relationships and people with a sharp analytical mind: being comfortable with metrics across multiple KPIs is essential, as is holding an affinity for complex analysis and data-driven decisions.



Responsibilities


  • Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets.
  • Act as the 'new business developer' for assigned categories or brands, possessing a comprehensive understanding of internal and external variables that impact your business.
  • Maximize Amazon's business and financial profitability through selection expansion opportunities.
  • Build vendor/brand relationships - serve as the primary point of contact for vendor on-boarding and ensure smooth transition to category teams once on-boarded.


Salary:

We offer a competitive salary range of AUD $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


  • 5+ years of experience with Excel
  • 5+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions
  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
