Job Summary: Lakeland Dairies Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assistant to join our team at the Ballyrashane site. As a key member of the Quality Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and food safety in our operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our quality systems and processes.
  • Ensure effective implementation and monitoring of customer standards into the site's quality management system.
  • Assist customer complaints, conduct investigations, responses, and close outs.
  • Support resolutions to issues raised through internal and external audits.
  • Assist in compliance with BRC requirements.
  • Facilitate customer visits, audits, and technical requests.
  • Carry out spot checks on records daily to ensure all records are live and accurate.
  • Develop and amend cleaning and work instructions on site.
  • Assist with departmental training and verification as required.
  • Complete internal audits as required, ensuring that any non-conformances are reported to management.
  • Provide technical input/guidance for product launch, including artwork changes, quality specification, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety and HR policies.
  • Ownership and responsibility for the maintenance of specific sections of the Food Management System.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Food Science or equivalent.
  • Positive attitude to change and commitment to help train and coach others as required.
  • Flexibility around hours of work and ownership of own work.
