Job Description

Job Title: Application Support Analyst/Tester

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst/Tester to join our IT team at Card Factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and testing services for our core business applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incident Management: Investigate and resolve complex application-related incidents and problems, working closely with other IT teams.
  • Application Changes: Implement functional application changes and releases aligned to the application roadmap and in accordance with agreed processes, ensuring availability, capacity, performance, and security levels are maintained.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical knowledge for both project and BAU incidents, and provide 2nd/3rd line support for key business applications across the Card Factory Group.
  • Problem Management: Undertake technical problem management and root cause analysis, ensuring that all key systems are operational and providing resolution or guidance to colleagues as required.
  • Operational Improvements: Identify and suggest operational improvements, and support the delivery of key projects, collaborating with other colleagues and support partners as required.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, and provide technical expertise to other IT teams.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Exposure to ERP Systems (SAP S4/HANA, Microsoft Dynamics AX) and Data Transformation Platforms (Dell Boomi, SSIS, EDI), experience with Ecommerce Platforms (Sales Force Commerce Cloud), and proficiency in Reporting Technologies (SSRS, Power BI).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to discuss complex technical issues with non-technical audiences.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills and experience working with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Adaptable to meet changing business needs, with a flexible and hybrid way of working.

Working Arrangements:

Based at our office in Wakefield, with free parking and a flexible, hybrid way of working, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in our team. Colleagues are required to work in the office for a minimum of 1-2 days per week, with the expectation of additional attendance when needed.
