Isle of Wight Jobs Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to support our event planning team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices and credit card receipts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
The ideal candidate will have excellent accounting skills, particularly with Sage 50 Cloud Accounts, and experience working in a fast-paced environment. You will be based at our home office on the Isle of Wight, where you will work closely with our Head of Finance to ensure seamless financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Accounts Payable:
- Verify invoices and obtain authorization from relevant departments.
- Coding invoices and expenses accurately to respective departments and events.
- Process and verify credit card receipts, entering them into the Accounting System.
- Accounts Receivables:
- Confirm all invoices raised by Event Planners have been entered into the Accounting System.
- Ensure all events have been invoiced.
- Enter sales invoices (events, commissions, ad-hoc) into the Accounting System.
- Generate commission and ad-hoc invoices as necessary.
- Pursue outstanding client payments via email or phone.
- Monthly and Yearly Tasks:
- Create and enter Accounting Journals into Sage.
- Assist the Finance Manager with UK VAT, Foreign VAT, P11Ds, etc.
- Support the Finance Manager with the Yearly Audit.
- Systems Utilized:
- Sage 50 Cloud Accounts, Professional/Online Banking, Microsoft Applications, Stripe, Pleo, PayPal.
The estimated annual salary for this role is £38,000, plus additional benefits such as private healthcare.
