About the Role

This part-time post is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to extend their clinical experience within the field of Autism, Learning Disabilities, and associated difficulties. You will work closely with other professionals providing support to students and reporting to the Therapy Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students with Autism and associated difficulties
  • Collaborate with the education team to deliver sensory and independence sessions
  • Support the development of outstanding autism practice throughout the service
  • Carry out environmental audits to ensure optimal stimulation and minimal distraction levels

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience within this field or a related relevant setting. They will need to feel confident working as the only OT within the local therapy team. Good written and spoken communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well within a staff team are essential.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
