Mersey Care is seeking a Specialist Gender Incongruence Nurse to join their team in delivering care for patients with Gender Incongruence. This exciting opportunity will involve working closely with the multidisciplinary team, local GPs, and partner agencies to provide direct clinical nursing care to patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have previous experience of working with Gender Incongruent service users and be aware of protocols for administering GRNH analogues. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships quickly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical nursing care to patients with Gender Incongruence
  • Obtain bloods for routine screening and interpret results
  • Deliver deep Intramuscular injections of GRNH analogues in line with clinical standards and profiles
  • Assess and monitor the wellbeing of patients under direct care, utilising biopsychosocial principles
  • Support the delivery of treatment from colleagues
  • Engage with and refer to partner agencies as appropriate
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a First level Registered Nurse/Midwife qualification, with experience of working with Gender Incongruent service users. They will also have completed Trust STRIVE/THRIVE course and be working towards Gender Identity Healthcare qualifications via RCP.

Salary and Benefits
