Speech Therapist for Trans and Gender Diverse Patients

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a highly skilled therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services to trans and gender diverse patients.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Voice service lead and other multidisciplinary team members to provide assessment and voice therapy/coaching interventions. This will involve offering group and individual sessions, primarily remotely, from the Broadgreen site.

Key responsibilities include managing and providing highly specialist Speech & Language Therapy, assessing client needs, and developing programs and resources. You will also support colleagues within and outside of Speech & Language Therapy, including student placements.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the improvement of clinical outcomes for trans and gender diverse patients accessing the Cheshire and Merseyside Gender Identity Clinic (CMAGIC). About the Role

  • Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to trans and gender diverse patients
  • Work collaboratively with the Voice service lead and multidisciplinary team members

  • Assess client needs and develop programs and resources

Requirements

  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent
  • HCPC Licence to Practice
  • Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
  • Evidence of successful completion of specialist short courses up to Master's degree equivalent
  • Membership of relevant Special Interest Groups

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
